Blue Chita is a daughter of Rowdy Blue Man raised by Fred Gist.  Rowdy Blue Man was ridden by Chip Merritt extensively in the winter of 1980-81 when he was helping out at the Hayes ranch in Thermopolis.  He tried to talk his dad and the Hayes out of selling him the next summer but he was sold to someone from Texas and a year after that was sold to Fred Gist.  Chip didn't think he was ever ridden again after leaving Wyoming.  I had a nice mare by Rowdy that was raised by the Hayes out of Ambrose Sue 30.  She is the mother of Rowdy Black Ambrose, a son of Leo Hancock Hayes that I raised and also Miss Idaho Ambrose.  Fred Gist raised at least three stallion out of Blue Chita breeding her back to Rowdy.  She is in foal for 2008 to J Cross Blue Moon.
